2. Chili Guava Juice
The title of this recipe may sound a bit wild – after all, juice and chili don’t sound like an appealing or refreshing drink. However, don’t knock it till you try it – this juice has a spicy tang that tastes fantastic!
INGREDIENTS
1-guava – cut into pieces and boiled.
A pinch of cracked black pepper.
A pinch of chili powder.
A pinch of salt to taste.
4-teaspoons sugar.
1-teaspoon pure lemon juice.
METHOD
Add a crockpot to medium heat and fill with 4-cups of purified water. Add the guavas, chili powder, and sugar, season with a sprinkle of pepper and salt. Bring to the boil for 3-minutes before reducing heat to simmer for 2-hours with the lid on the pot.
Remove the crockpot from the heat and pour juice into a pitcher – allow it to cool. Add the cooled liquid to the blender, along with 2-cups of water and the lime juice. Blend on high with 8-ice cubes until all ingredients combine.
