3. Favorite Key Lime Pie
What you need:
- Prepared graham cracker crust
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 and ¼ cups of sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup of lime juice
- Zest of 2 key limes
- Tbsp of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Whipped cream
To make:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Whisk the egg yolks, milk, lime zest, lime juice, and lemon juice in a bowl until combined. Beat the egg whites with a mixer until they foam. Add in the sugar and beat until soft peaks form. Fold in the egg yolks mixture.
Spoon into the crust. Bake for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Top with whipped cream and serve.
