2. Cut and Prep
Now you have your pomegranate, it’s time to get to work and to get your things together. You’re going to need a large bowl that is big enough to fit both hands into, and you should fill this with water.
You’re then going to cut the pomegranate. The aim here is to do this directly down the middle of the pomegranate so that you have two halves. Try to cut in the same direction as the stem.
You’ll find when you do this that you are greeted with the inside of this somewhat unusual fruit – and it will probably be just filled with little seeds!
This is a good thing! Whereas the seeds are not particularly useful or wanted for many other fruits, in this case, the seeds are where all the juice is going to come from. So don’t discard them! Keep everything.
