3 Moist Cornbread Squares
As we’ve already mentioned, cornbread is somewhat cakey. This is even more true when you try and make a moist mixture which is perfect if you’re someone who struggles with dry bread.
The ingredients for this one are 6tbsp of unsalted butter, one cup of cornmeal, ¾ cup of plain flour, 1tbsp of sugar, 1.5tsp of baking powder, 1/2tsp of bicarb, a pinch of salt, two large eggs, and one and a half cups of buttermilk. It’s a very similar ingredients list then, and again the process will be very similar. You are just going to mix together those dry ingredients in a bowl, then mix on the wet ingredients, stir to make a batter, and then cook in an oven at around 200C until nicely golden. Don’t overcook this time though, as of course, you’re trying to let this remain nice and moist.
