1 Plain Banana Muffin
To start with, let’s take a look at how you go about making the most basic banana muffin you can and using that as a basis for your more adventurous versions.
To make a batch of muffins, here’s what you’re going to need:
- 2 medium eggs
- 125ml vegetable oil
- 250ml milk
- 250g golden caster sugar
- 400g self-raising flour
- Pinch of salt
From here, you are then going to simply add in a little bit of banana essence. This is basically banana flavoring that can very easily be added to any muffin mix and that will help to make it taste instantly banana-ish.
To turn these ingredients into a perfect, fluffy muffin, you are going to follow these steps:
- Beat two eggs
- Add vegetable oil to the eggs
- Add milk
- Continue to beat to combine
- Add the sugar
- Whisk until you get a smooth batter
- Sift in the self-raising flour, add a pinch of salt
- Mix until smooth
- Bake for 20-25 minutes
As you can see, it’s an extremely easy bake and the whole thing is really likely to take no more than 35-40 minutes!
