When you get away from the traditional idea of salted butter popcorn and start playing with the idea of new and different tastes, caramel can be a great introduction to the thousands of things you can do with the same snack.
Making caramel popcorn is pretty easy: Some people like to make their own caramel at home, while a lot of people rather opt to buy it because it can be easier and quicker.
Caramel is heated before adding, and usually allowed to cool down in order to harden over the popcorn.
