3. Pork Carnitas
This slow cooker recipe is really simple to put together and packed with flavor. This is considered a “dump” recipe as you will just throw all of the ingredients into the crockpot and walk away. It really cannot get much easier.
What you need:
3 or 4-pound pork roast
Dash salt
2 teaspoons of chili powder
A teaspoon each of oregano and cumin
5 cloves of garlic pressed or minced
One onion, chopped
The juice from one lime
A half of a cup of orange juice
To Make:
Place the roast in the slow cooker and then add in the rest of the ingredients. Cook in the slow cooker on low for eight to ten hours. Shred the pork and put into tortillas. Top the pork with sour cream and cilantro and enjoy. Another option is to make some white or brown rice and then put the pork over the rice and serve.
