- 1 pound nuts, chopped
- Tsp of cinnamon
- A pound of phyllo dough
- A cup of melted butter
- A cup of sugar
- A cup of water
- ½ cup of honey
- Tsp of vanilla

To make:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, make sure to cover the sides and bottom. Place 2 pieces of phyllo dough in the bottom of the pan. Brush with melted butter. Mix the nuts and cinnamon together. Place on top of the phyllo dough. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used. Use a knife to cut the baklava into squares or rectangles. Bake until golden, about an hour. Combine the sugar and the water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is melted. Add in the honey, lemon zest, and vanilla. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove the baklava from the oven and pour the syrup over the top. Let cool and serve.
