3. Sausage Bolognese
If you love the taste of sausage, you will enjoy this rich and hearty Bolognese recipe. It’s perfect for lasagna or served over any type of pasta.
Ingredients
- 2 – 3 Italian sausages
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion
- 1 Garlic
- 3 Crushed tomato
- Salt
- Red pepper flakes
- 12 oz Pasta
- 5 oz Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil
Directions
- Cook the pasta on the stove and set aside.
- In a Dutch oven, warm up the oil.
- Add the sausage until it is cooked completely. Save some of the fat.
- Cook the onions and garlic in the fat until the onions and clear and tender.
- Add the sausage back to the pan and add the tomatoes, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Cook the sauce for 7 to 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss with tongs to combine.
- Serve the pasta warm and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
