3. Use fresh espresso and not the powder kind when making tiramisu.
Espresso is one of the ingredients needed to make tiramisu. Most people don’t own an espresso machine, so the only way to get fresh espresso is by getting a cup at the coffee shop. It doesn’t matter if the espresso cools while mixing the other ingredients together because the espresso will need to be at room temperature anyways once you start to use it.
When you get the espresso at the coffee shop don’t add anything to it. Just leave it as it is. Try to get a large cup of espresso, so that you have enough for your ladyfingers later on. If you get to work on making the tiramisu right away, the espresso shouldn’t be cold once you dip the ladyfingers in it. You will need a separate bowl to pour the expresso into to dip the ladyfingers in.
