2 Hundreds and Thousands
Hundreds and thousands are a lot of fun for kids and are tasty too! Not only that, but they add some real visual flair and make the biscuits look a whole lot more appealing. These are tiny specs of color that taste like candy and that perfectly match the shortbread.
Of course, you can simply scatter the hundreds and thousands (also called sprinkles) on top of the shortbread without anything used to stick them on, but they will just fall off than when you get them out.
Instead then, you could consider using the hundreds of thousands with a little bit of honey, of syrup, or even food glue – which will serve as an adhesive. This works well with the melted chocolate too if you add it while the chocolate is still warm, and the same goes for icing.
Or why not add the hundreds and thousands while the shortbread is in the oven and still soft and sticky?
