3. Churros with Chocolate Sauce
What you need:
- 1 ½ cup water
- ½ tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- Tsp of olive oil
- 1 ½ cup of flour
- Tsp of baking powder
- Oil for frying
Chocolate sauce:
- 1/.2 cup of heavy cream
- 4 ounces of dark chocolate, cut into pieces
To make:
In a saucepan over medium high heat, whisk the water, sugar, salt, and olive oil together. Bring to a boil and then remove from heat. Dd in the flour and the baking powder and mix until a ball forms. Heat about 4 inches of oil in a pan over medium heat. Transfer the ball of dough to a pastry bag with a tip. Squeeze into the oil, creating strips that are about 5 inches long. Fry until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. To make the chocolate sauce place the chocolate and heavy cream in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. When mixture is smooth, serve with the fried churros.
