2. Make the Casserole in Advance
Casseroles are the king of convenience foods in the kitchen. If you’ve got a hectic day planned tomorrow, then prepare a casserole this evening and leave it in the fridge overnight. When it’s dinner time, pull the corn casserole out of the refrigerator and place it in a preheated oven – walk away and come back in an hour to a healthy and tasty meal.
Remember to cover your casserole with aluminum foil when storing it in the fridge. Plastic wrap is not a safe means of protecting the food. One of the best things about this meal is that anyone can cook it, all they need to do is switch on the oven, add the corn casserole and remove it when cooked.
However, some people may not understand that they need to remove the plastic wrap from the dish and may bake it into the casserole. That’s a disaster for the food and could be life-threatening for your family.
