2. Hawaiian Fried Rice
The pineapple is a member of the bromeliad family. It’s one of the few bromeliads that can actually produce fruit that is edible to humans. The pineapple itself is actually made out of a group individual berries that are stuck to a central core — therefore each scale of a pineapple is actually its own berry.
The nutritional benefits of pineapples are just as amazing as their anatomy. There are very high amounts of manganese and vitamin C contained within pineapples. They’re also a great source of bromelain — an enzyme named after the bromeliad family.
Pineapples are even rich in dietary fiber. No other meat goes well with pineapples the way ham does. Adding some of your leftover ham to a bowl of rice, dropping a few pineapple scales in, and then mixing will make for an easy Hawaiian breakfast.
Ham and pineapples offer a nutritious breakfast of protein and vitamin C — everything your immune system needs to function.
