3. Asian Cabbage Slaw
What you need:
¼ of a cup of rice vinegar
2 tsp of sugar
A tsp peeled ginger
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
A fresh serrano chile, chopped
Small head of napa cabbage, cored and cut into half inch slices
½ cup of chopped cilantro
To make:
Mix together the sugar, vinegar, ginger, chile, oil, and half a tsp of salt. Add in the remaining ingredients and toss together. Let the mixture stand for about ten minutes. Toss it occasionally during this time. This is a really simple salad to put together and is best served after a couple of hours so the flavors have time to meld together. You can also add in other ingredients as well. Some ingredients you may add include shredded carrots or broccoli, chopped up apples, pine nuts, herbs, peppers, onions, or even some cranberries.
