3. Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are an essential component for your health, and carbohydrates are the base of what your body uses for energy – which it usually gets from carbohydrate-rich sources such as pasta, grains and certain starches like rice.
If you’re currently trying to boost your energy levels or lose weight and replace the fat with muscle, carbohydrates will be necessary – and it’s the secret to the energy boost before the game for many professional athletes.
During exercise and training, it’s also an excellent source of carbohydrates for quick energy even if you’re not a professional sportsperson and don’t go to the gym as often – though cut your carb-intake if you’re at risk of diabetes or have been told to avoid carbs by your doctor.
Oranges are an excellent source of carbohydrates without containing so much that they can become a problem for someone’s health who has to cut down their carbohydrate intake.
