
It’s that time of year again – wow, doesn’t time fly? Thanksgiving is a great opportunity to cook for your friends and family. Sitting around the dinner table with your loved ones is a special occasion that we don’t get to do often enough.
Thanksgiving has always been about the turkey dinner. The bird, the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and fresh bread are a tasty treat. What is Thanksgiving turkey dinner without the stuffing? Somehow, this dish doesn’t seem ever to get the praise it deserves.

1. Traditional Stuffing Mix
Let’s start our list with a recipe for traditional stuffing. Sometimes, you don’t need a bunch of fancy ingredients to create a mouthwatering stuffing that compliments the turkey.
INGREDIENTS
1-sourdough loaf, left out overnight to stale, crushed into breadcrumbs.
½-cup grass-fed butter.
2-cups onion, sliced.
1-cup celery, chopped.
2-teaspoons sage, chopped
2-teaspoons thyme, chopped.
3-cups chicken stock.
Crushed Himalayan pink salt and cracked black pepper.
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare 2-loaf tins with wax paper. Place a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the celery and onion – cook, until soft for 5-minutes. Transfer the contents of the skillet into a large mixing bowl and add the thyme, sage, and breadcrumbs.
Add enough of the stock to moisten the bread, toss in a pinch of salt and pepper – Mix until well-combined. Add the stuffing mix to the loaf tins and bake in the oven for 30-minutes until the top browns.
