1.Pork Chops with Apple Sauce
What you need:
4 apples chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 ounces of golden raisins
Fresh ginger
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cups apple juice
½ teaspoon each of nutmeg and ground cinnamon
2 tbsp olive oil
Boneless pork chops, 4
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons butter
What to Do:
Add the first eight ingredients to a medium pot and cook over medium heat until a chunky sauce is formed. This will take about ten minutes or so. If the sauce starts to spatter as it is bubbling, turn down the heat. Once the apples become soft and the sauce is formed, remove the pan from the heat.
Next, heat a skillet over medium heat and add in the oil. Season the chops with salt and pepper and then add the pork chops to the skillet. Brown each side of the pork chops and then cook for about five or six minutes or until cooked through.
Add in some butter and the apple juice. Then pour the sauce from the pan over the chops and serve.
