3. Jalapeno Smothered Pork Chops
What you need:
6 pork chops
Tablespoon olive oil
Teaspoon each of salt, pepper, and garlic powder
2 tablespoons salsa verde
For the filling:
6 ounces of cream cheese
⅓ cup each of salsa verde and shredded cheese
A tablespoon of jalapenos chopped
For the topping:
½ a cup of cheddar cheese, chopped bacon cooked, and raw jalapenos sliced
To make:
Combine the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and salsa verde in a small bowl. Place the pork chops into the mixture and cover. Make sure the mixture gets rubbed into the meat. Preheat the grill and once hot cook for about three minutes on each side, or until just cooked through.
Combine the softened cream cheese, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and salsa verde. Divide the mixture and place it on top of each pork chop. Top with the bacon, jalapenos, and additional cheese. Close the lid of the grill and cook until the cheese melts.
Serve immediately.
