2. Pizza Fondue
Everyone loves pizza, why not make it into a fun dip to serve at your next party. Here is what you need:
Tbsp olive oil
Medium onion, diced
½ pound of Italian sausage or ground beef
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 ½ tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
2 fifteen ounce cans of pizza sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Monterey jack cheese
A loaf of Italian bread cut into cubes
To make:
Heat the olive oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add in the onions and saute until they become translucent. Stir frequently. Add the meat to the pan and break into small pieces while cooking. Once the meat is almost done add in the garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. When the meat is cooked through, reduce heat to medium-low and add in the pizza sauce and stir well. Add in the cheeses and stir until the cheese is completely melted. Serve with bread for dipping.
