5. Reuben Pigs in a Blanket
Reuben pigs in a blanket are a fun twist on the classic sandwich. They taste just like mini Reubens. You can just pop them in your mouth one at a time and get a big burst of flavor every time. This recipe will make two dozen, which is the perfect number for a party or on game day.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut
- 3 tablespoons pickle relish
- 1 tube of crescent roll dough
- 2 ounces Swiss cheese
- 24 cocktail wieners
- 1 egg
- Caraway seeds
- Thousand Island dressing
Directions
- Turn the oven to 350 degrees to preheat it.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the relish and sauerkraut.
- Roll the crescent dough out on the baking sheet and separate the triangles.
- Cut each triangle in half.
- Add a wiener to each triangle and add the sauerkraut and relish mixture.
- Roll up the dough and arrange neatly on the baking sheet.
- Brush with the egg and butter and add the caraway seeds tot eh tops.
- Bake until golden brown and serve with Thousand Island dressing.
