4. Hazelnut Cannoli
These cannoli are rich and delicious. They taste great with a cold glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee. They are full of flavor and have a great texture.
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese
- Chopped dark chocolate
- Cannoli shells
- Heavy cream
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Toasted hazelnuts
- Powdered sugar
Directions
- Stain the ricotta in the refrigerator overnight.
- On the stove, heat the chocolate until it melts. Do not overheat or burn the chocolate.
- Dip the cannoli shells into the chocolate to coat them. Let the extra chocolate drip off the cones and place them on parchment sheets to set. You can also place them in the fridge to speed up the process.
- In a bowl, mix the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
- In another bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, hazelnut spread, vanilla, and salt.
- Fold in the whipped cream and stir in the chopped chocolate.
- Add the mixture to a plastic bag and snip off the end of it.
- Use the bag to fill the cannoli shells.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
