3. Red Jambalaya
The Creole version of Jambalaya is sometimes referred to as red jambalaya, the reason for this is that it contains tomato, whereas the other varieties do not.
While you could call the first Creole Jambalaya recipe a red Jambalaya then, we’re actually going to make a version here that is ‘even redder’ by adding in even more tomatoes. Specifically, you should add in a can of tomatoes, and then go absolutely crazy with the tomato puree. This gives a really rich, tomato flavor and it’s very comforting. You can even add a little bit of cheese on top if you like to give it a unique flavor.
