4. Jumping Jell-O Dessert
Jell-O is a time-honored tradition. What’s a Thanksgiving dinner without a wobbling Jell-O for dessert? We put a different visual edge on the typical Jell-O recipe, with this idea that includes a touch of genius to this delicious dessert.
INGREDIENTS
¾-cup grass-fed butter, melted.
2-cups crushed pretzels, unsalted.
8-oz. Cream cheese at room temperature.
1-1/2-cups confectioners’ sugar.
4-oz. Whipped cream.
3-packets strawberry Jell-O
2-cups boiling water.
½-cup cold water.
METHOD
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix the butter, sugar, and pretzels in a large mixing bowl. Place the dough mixture in and greased baking tin and bake for 10-minutes. After the base cools, beat cream cheese, whipped cream, and sugar till smooth. Prepare the Jell-O and pour into the cake tin on top of the crust. Leave to set in the fridge for 5-hours. When set, add the topping and return to the refrigerator to set for another 30-minutes. Serve to your friends and enjoy.
