3. Classic Coleslaw
What you need:
6 cups of cabbage, shredded
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup mayo
¼ cup white wine vinegar
1 tsp celery seed
¼ cup sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: ⅓ cup quick pickled jalapenos
To make:
In a large bowl combine the carrots and the cabbage. Set aside. In a medium sized bowl mix together the vinegar, mayo, sugar, celery seed, salt and pepper. Add the dressing to the cabbage and carrot mixture. Stir until well combined. For an extra twist and to add some spice you can mix in some pickled jalapenos to change things up a bit. Let the mix chill for at least an hour before serving. This is a simple and classic coleslaw recipe that is quite easy to make. It goes great with hot dogs and burgers, but could also be a great side dish to just about any meal that you make.
