4. Chicken Barbecue Pizza
Barbeque sauce, we love it – but it’s packed with calories and sodium. Our new take on this recipe relies on fresh vegetables and aromatic spices. Use less sauce to maintain a fantastic taste that lets your taste buds howl with delight at the flavor.
While the pizza base bakes in the oven, start your recipe by sautéing red and yellow peppers in a few tablespoons of olive oil or grass-fed butter. When you pull the dough at the 89-minute mark, add the peppers, without the extra cheese.
During the final baking phase, take a rotisserie chicken and strip the breasts into thin, bite-sized pieces. Toss them with a few tablespoons of barbeque sauce until well-coated, make sure you don’t over-do it.
When the pizza base is ready at the 12 to 14-minute mark, pull it from the oven and top with your barbeque chicken. Slice it up and serve, each serving contains 384-calories.
