3. Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese.
For those that have a slow cooker or crockpot handy, this recipe will do wonders.
To serve 4 persons, you will need about 8 ounces of elbow macaroni, 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of evaporated milk, 4 tablespoons of melted butter, ½ cup of milk, salt, pepper to taste.
Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with hot water in a colander. Butter thoroughly a 4-quart slow cooker. Put in the macaroni, shredded cheese, milk, butter, salt, pepper and blend well. Cook on slow for about 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours. Stir the mixture every hour to make sure it doesn’t burn at the bottom. For an excellent finish, sprinkle a bit of shredded cheese on top and broil till the cheese melts. Serve hot and enjoy!
