4. Creamy Macaroni and Cheese.
This extra creamy recipe is for those who love the combination of American cheese and shredded cheddar. Great comfort food to have no matter what the occasion is.
Cook 8 ounces of elbow macaroni and rinse well with hot water. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan. Add in ¼ cup of all-purpose flour and stir until bubbly. Pour in 1 cup of milk and 1 ½ cups of light cream, season with salt, pepper, and mustard. Stir well until the sauce thickens. Add 3 cups of shredded cheese (half American, half cheddar) and stir until melted. Blend in the macaroni then put all in the greased baking dish. Top with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and croissant crumbs, then bake it for about 25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve hot.
