4. Soda Bread
Okay, so flatbread has to take the crown for the most simple and easy bread you can make! But soda bread is famously not far behind and if you choose to go with whole wheat ingredients, then it’s going to be a healthy choice too.
Start by heating the oven to 180C and then line a baking sheet with parchment.
Meanwhile, you’re going to place 450g of wholemeal flour, a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, a pinch of salt, and some seeds (optional) into a bowl and then stir to combine.
Stir in some treacle (one tablespoon) and 150ml of bio yogurt combined with 450ml of water. Once that is soft and sticky, leave it for five minutes to let the bran absorb the liquid.
Now tip all that onto a lightly floured surface and form the dough into a round. Lift it onto the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
