4. Low-Sodium Fajita Seasoning
The American Heart Foundation recommends that we keep our sodium intake to a minimum. Excess sodium in your bloodstream increases blood pressure, leading to a condition known as, “hypertension.” People living with high blood pressure run the risk of developing severe adverse cardiovascular issues that can end up in the person experiencing a heart attack or stroke.
We care about the health of our readers, and if you’re living with high blood pressure or hypertension, use this seasoning mix when you make your fajitas. This recipe tastes great, even though there’s practically no sodium in the seasoning.
We like adding cornstarch to this recipe to make up for the lack of salt. The cornstarch gives a salty and earthy taste to the seasoning mix.
