4. Texas chili
Texas does everything big – including their chili. This recipe is a take on traditional Texas-style chili and it is absolutely to die for. The ingredients for this chili dish include ground beef, chopped yellow onion, minced garlic, canned beef broth, a can of Rotel tomatoes, canned tomato sauce, canned diced tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, cocoa powder, finely chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper. Saute the onion and garlic in a large pot until tender.
Add in ground beef, and thoroughly mix with onion and garlic. Cook thoroughly until there is no more pink. Drain any grease from the pot and add in the rest of your ingredients. Make sure you give all of the ingredients a good mix so that they are well blended. Bring the mixture to a boil, stir again, and then reduce heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 2 hours.
