4. Carrot, Orange, and Ginger Juice
This classic recipe is an excellent option at any time of the day. We love it as a way to break a juice fast, or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up between lunch and dinner.
Carrots contain the polyphenols beta-carotene and, which are nutrients responsible for maintaining vision, and the health of the cornea. Carrot juice doesn’t taste overly sweet, it has a slightly sharp flavor, and it works well with orange juice in this recipe. We prefer navel oranges over other varieties for most of our juice ideas, but you’re welcome to use any type you like.
Cucumbers have a very mild flavor, but offers plenty of nutrients and bring more volume to the juice. Our final ingredient in this recipe, ginger root, comes packed with potent polyphenols known as “gingerols.” These phytonutrients help boost the immune system and improve digestion while reducing inflammation in the GI tract.
