5. Very Little Fat
Oranges are one of the very few naturally grown sources that are known for containing very little fact – in fact, oranges contain almost no fat. This is an obvious great benefit if you’re trying to lose weight, but that’s not the only reason why you might want to slice down the amount of fat that your diet contains.
A diet too rich in fat puts you at risk of far more than just weight gain, and you’re risking a range of health issues that can include cholesterol, heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes – and not only do oranges not contain a lot of fat, they also help your body to process most of the fats that your body gets in through the foods that you eat.
That’s why oranges are excellent for getting rid of heartburn – and controlling cholesterol and heart disease, whether or not your goal is weight loss.
