3. Beautiful Berry Fruit Salad
Put this berry salad together in minutes. Give your body a blast of antioxidants with this nutritious recipe. The dressing for this berry salad accentuates the flavor of the berries and leaves your taste buds dancing in delight.
INGREDIENTS
2-cups Strawberries, hulled and sliced.
4-oz. Fresh blackberries.
8-oz. Fresh blueberries.
4-oz. fresh raspberries
2- cups fresh cherries – pitted and halved.
1-lime – zested.
1-tablespoon lime juice.
1-tablespoon raw honey.
METHOD
Farmers spray their fruit crops with pesticides to control insects from destroying the fruit. While most farms wash their berries before packing them, it’s better if you wash them yourself before serving to remove any traces of chemicals.
After you’ve rinsed the berries and the cherries, place them in a medium mixing bowl.
In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together the lime juice, along with the zest and the raw honey. Pour the mixture over the fruit and toss to combine. Refrigerate until it’s ready to serve, or pack in a Tupperware and leave it in the fridge for up to 3-days for a daily serving of the fruit salad.
