4. Mixing
Mixing your batter is an essential step in the process of making the perfect snickerdoodles. However, many newbies get this step of the recipe wrong and end up with a clumpy and lumpy mixture that creates chewy cookies you’ll have to throw away or donate to the less fortunate.
Make sure you don’t add melted butter to the dry ingredients when mixing – you’ll never be able to work out all of the lumps, and your batter will be a disaster. Place the butter in a large mixing bowl with the flour, and cream it by using a wooden spoon. If you’re like us – we’re too lazy to use a wooden spoon, and we don’t trust our judgment. So, we use technology to assist our mixing, and we take care of the mixing stage using an automatic powered mixing machine.
The mixer evenly distributes the ingredients and works out the lumps – with minimal effort on your part.
