4. Restaurant Style Alfredo
What you need:
- 6 tbsp of butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 ½ cups of milk
- 1 ½ cups of heavy cream
- ½ cup of grated parmesan
- ½ cup of grated romano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound of fettuccine noodles
To make:
Make the fettuccine according to the package instructions. When the water is preheating, start the sauce. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat. Add the garlic and cook for a minute. Whisk in the flour. Slowly add the heavy cream and the milk. Stirring constantly. Add in the cheese and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer. Drain the pasta and then add it to the mix. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and the sauce will continue to thicken. Serve with a garnish of parsley.
