4. Mashed Potato Waffles
Mashed potato waffles are just as fun to make as they are to eat. Just use your waffle maker to prepare them in no time. You can eat them for breakfast or serve them up as a side dish. You can also freeze them to eat at a later time. Kids love finger foods like this, and you won’t get any complaints from the adults either.
Ingredients
- mashed potatoes
- all-purpose flour
- eggs
- chives
- garlic powder
- paprika
- Kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- cooking spray
- shredded cheddar cheese
- slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions
- Mix the mashed potatoes, flour, eggs, chives, garlic powder and paprika in a bowl until well combined.
- Preheat your waffle iron and spray with cooking spray.
- Add some of the potato mixtures to the waggle iron and allow it to cook. Make as many waffles as the mix will allow.
- Put the waffles on a baking sheet and put them in the oven to crisp up.
- Remove the waffles and top them with bacon, cheese, and chives. Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
