2. Gnocchi with Sage, Butter, and Parmesan
What you need:
- A handful of sage leaves
- Olive oil
- ½ stick of butter
- A package of gnocchi
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shaved parmesan
To make:
To make gnocchi with sage, butter, and parmesan you will first fry sage leaves in some olive oil. Remove the leaves and drain on a paper towel. Add half a stick of butter to the oil and swirl until it melts. Season with some salt and pepper. While making the sage butter, boil a package of gnocchi until they float to the top of the water. This takes about two or three minutes.
Remove from the pot with a slotted spoon to drain and transfer them to a bowl. Toss with the butter and sage sauce that you have created. Adjust the seasonings as needed. Transfer the gnocchi to a serving plate and top with the sage leaves and some thinly shaved parmesan.
