5. Italian Bolognese
This is a classic Italian Bolognese recipe that is full of flavor and very hearty.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 oz Minced pancetta
- 1 bunch minced celery
- 1 Minced carrot
- 1 Minced onion
- 5 oz Ground beef chuck
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup of Milk
- 1/2 cup of dry white wine
- Canned plum tomatoes
- 12 oz Pasta
- 8 oz Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions
- In a saucepan, heat the oil and butter.
- Add the Pancetta and cook until the fat has been rendered.
- Add the carrots, celery, and onions and cook for five minutes.
- Add the beef, salt, and pepper and cook until the beef turns brown.
- Add the milk and cook until it is evaporated.
- Add wine and simmer.
- Add the tomatoes and cook for two hours on low heat. Reduce the liquid as much as possible.
- Cook the pasta, drain and pat it dry.
- Add the sauce to the pasta and toss to coat it evenly.
- Top with fresh parmesan cheese
