4. Slow Cooker Bolognese
If you want to cook Bolognese but don’t have a lot of time to do so, try this slow cooker recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 oz chopped baby carrots
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic
- 5 oz Beef
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 3 Crushed tomatoes
- 2 oz Tomato paste
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- Dried basil
- Dried oregano
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- 5 oz Parmesan cheese
Directions
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil.
- Add the carrots, garlic, and onions and cook until tender.
- Add the ground beef to a skillet and cook until it’s brown.
- Remove the excess fat and add a cup of milk to the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer until the milk is completely absorbed.
- Place the mixture in a slow cooker and set it on high.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
- Cook in the slow cooker for 2 hours.
- Add milk, and parmesan and stir well.
- Cook for two more hours and serve warm.
