4. Allow enough space between each sprout, so that they roast evenly.
If the sprouts are stuffed into the baking pan, they will release steam and will become mushy. Mushy sprouts are not what you want to serve to your family.
You want roasted sprouts that everyone will love to eat. If you are roasting just a few sprouts, using a smaller pan may be okay, but it may be safer to use a larger baking pan, if you have one on hand. Make sure that they are not touching one another once you place them in separate pans. If you only have small baking pans, consider using all of them, so that the sprouts don’t have to be stuffed into one pan.
They will still roast evenly even if they’re in separate pans. Just make sure that you drizzle them with olive oil after placing them in the pan.
