5. Slightly Sweet Coconut Flour Bread
There are actually a number of different great bread recipes that use coconut flour. One of our favorites though is this one, which has a slightly sweet flavor… hence the name!
For this one, you are going to need ix organic eggs kept at room temperature, half a cup of coconut oil (melted), a tablespoon of honey, three quarters of a cup of coconut flour, two tablespoons of arrowroot powder (to make the bake a little lighter), half a teaspoon of sea salt, and one teaspoon of baking powder.
The resulting bake is night and light and fluffy and is similar to brioche both in texture and flavor. It’s perfect for breakfast with just a little butter or more honey!
One thing you might notice about this recipe and a few others is that the amount of coconut flour used is relatively very small. Don’t worry though – that’s completely normal! Actually, it comes down to the fact that coconut flour is so good at absorbing moisture and will gobble up all the liquid to become twice the size when you add the other ingredients.
