5. Apple Cider Vinegar
Using a little bit of vinegar is important for a ketchup, and you’ll want to add more again for a BBQ sauce. If you carefully try to assess the taste of your BBQ sauce, you’ll normally notice that it has a tanginess that goes beyond just the juicy flavor of the tomato.
This is a useful skill to keep in mind for your cooking: being able to really taste what you’re eating, assess what might have gone into it, and then replicate that process yourself when making your own version.
Apple cider vinegar is actually surprisingly good for you once again too, what with it being a good source of healthy bacteria and able to boost your immune system as a result. It’s also what ensures that ketchup and BBQ sauce go so well on salty fries!
