14 Secrets for Mastering the Prime Rib Recipe

May 21, 2019 | Search Recipes Here

Prime rib is one of the most popular cuts of beef. It is often served in restaurants or by caterers at weddings and other special events. It’s sold in stores and butcher shops as well. Many people are intimidated by the prime rib because it is such a thick and expensive cut of meat.

You can cook prime rib at home without any problems. You can make it taste just as well as any restaurant or chef as long as you have the right recipe and technique. You should take your time with your prime rib and ensure that it is cooked properly and prepared just as you like it.

These tips can help you choose the right prime rib, prepare it properly, cook, and serve it. Whether you want to make it for a special occasion, Sunday dinner, or just a nice dinner with your family, these tips can come in handy.

1.    Source

Most people assume that grass-fed beef is lean. That was the case a few years ago, but nowadays, 100% grass-fed beef isn’t necessarily the best or tastiest choice. While grass does help make the meat leaner, it also tends to give it a strange flavor.

A better option is to find prime rib that comes from grain-fed cattle. These cows are still fed grass, but they are finished on grain. The grain helps overpower the grass flavor and allows the meat to have a deeper, richer flavor. If you have never had the two different types before, you may not notice the difference in flavor.

Once you try a grain-fed rib compared to a 100% grass-fed prime rib, you will immediately taste the difference. The packaging on the prime rib should tell you where the meat comes from and how the cow was fed. If in doubt, ask the butcher or a store employee.
