6. Burrito Beefy Bake
This recipe is fantastic for those evenings when you still have work to catch up on while you wait for dinner. Put it together in minutes and let the oven do the rest.
INGREDIENTS
2-lbs. Grass-fed 90% lean ground beef.
1-can refried beans.
¼-cup onion – chopped.
1-tablespoon taco seasoning.
8-oz. Crescent rolls.
2-cups cheddar cheese – grated.
2-cups mozzarella cheese – grated.
Shredded lettuce, chopped green pepper, diced tomatoes, and Kalamata olives for garnish.
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 375F. Grease a 13×9-inch baking tin and set aside. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil. When the oil begins to shimmer, add the beef and cook till no longer pink. Drain the fluid from the skillet, add the beans, onions and season with the taco spice.
Unroll the crescent dough on a floured surface and press it into the greased baking tin. Seal the seams. Transfer the hamburger filling into the dish and sprinkle with cheese on top. Place in the oven and bake for 30-minutes until the cheese browns and begins to bubble. Add garnish and serve.
