5. Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole
Doesn’t the title of this recipe sound fantastic? Your favorite fast food in a casserole dish – who would have thought?
INGREDIENTS
2-lbs. Grass-fed 90% lean ground beef.
12-strips cured back bacon – fried and diced.
1-onion – chopped and divided.
1-can tomato sauce.
1-tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
1-tablespoon mustard powder.
32-oz. Frozen Tater Tots.
1-cup Cherry tomatoes – chopped.
2-cups cheddar cheese – grated.
8-oz. Processed cheese.
1/3-cup sliced pickles.
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 375F. Place a skillet on the stove over medium-high heat and add the oil. When hot, add the beef along with 1-cup of onions – cook until the onions turn translucent and the meat is no longer pink.
Drain the fluid from the skillet and add the tomato sauce along with the processed cheese. Add the
Worcestershire sauce and the mustard powder, stir until everything combines well and the cheese melts.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 13×9-inch baking tin, add a sprinkle of cheese on top and add to the oven at 375F for 35-minutes until it begins to bubble. Top with diced bacon, pickles, and the remaining onion before serving.
