3. Tuna
Another very simple way to mix up your pizza is to add tuna – or tonno. This is a savory fish that works very well with cheese and tomato – which of course is why it happens to go so incredibly well in a pasta bake!
To make this one, you simply need to buy yourself a tin of tuna flakes and then drain off the extra water (this comes in brine or sunflower oil). Once you’ve done that, you can then scatter it around on your pizza and use it as much or as little as you like.
Tuna isn’t the only fish to find its way onto pizzas. Anchovies are also a common choice here. Whatever you choose, this actually is a good way to increase the health factor of your pizza. That’s because tuna is not only a great source of lean protein but also a great source of omega 3 fatty acid – an essential fatty acid that has been shown to help improve brain function and eyesight, while also reducing your risk of inflammation.
