3. Baked Vanilla Donuts
These baked vanilla donuts are more like cake than donuts. You won’t believe they are healthy. While you probably shouldn’t devour the entire pan in one sitting, it’s okay to have one or two for breakfast or a late-night snack.
Ingredients
- 1 c flour
- 6 tbsp. of sugar
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp. buttermilk
- An egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. of melted butter
Directions
- Turn the oven to 325 degrees and allow it to preheat.
- Prepare a donut pan by greasing it or using flour and butter to coat it.
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine them without overmixing.
- Add the batter to the donut pan with a spoon.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- You can make a glaze for the tops of the donuts or dip them in a dip or icing of your choice.
