4. NY Strip with Garlic Butter and Herbs
This recipe is our favorite way to prepare a NY strip. It’s uncomplicated and tastes terrific. Garlic butter and herbs provide all the flavor you need to amplify the taste of the meat. Our favorite part of this recipe is basting the steak. The aroma fills the entire kitchen and gets your mouth watering for the juicy steak to come.
INGREDIENTS
1-NY strip, grass-fed steak, minimum 1-1/5-inches thick without the bone.
2-tablespoons grass-fed butter.
1-tablespoon coconut oil.
2-3 sprigs rosemary and thyme.
INSTRUCTIONS
Place a skillet on high heat until red hot. Add the coconut oil and sear each side of the steak for 30-seconds. Add the butter and herbs to the pan. Seat the steak on top of the herbs and spoon the butter of the steak as it cooks. Swap sides after 4-minutes. Remove from the heat and let the steak rest for 10 to 15-minutes before serving.
