5. Slow Cooker Cabbage Rolls
What you need:
12 leaves of cabbage
A cup of white rice
An egg
¼ of a cup of milk
¼ of a cup of minced onion
A pound of ground beef
1 and ¼ tsp of salt
1 and ¼ tsp black pepper
An 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
Tbsp brown sugar
Tbsp of lemon juice
Tsp of worcestershire sauce
To make:
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Boil the cabbage leaves for about two minutes and then drain. In a large bowl, combine the egg, cooked rice, milk, onion, salt, pepper, and ground beef. Place about ¼ cup of the meat mixture in the center of each of the cabbage leaves and then roll up and tuck in the ends. Place the rolls in a slow cooker. In a bowl mix together the tomato sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and worcestershire sauce. Pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls. Cook on high for four to six hours or low for eight hours.
